We review ads

We reserve the right to determine which ads appear on Atlantic Caring properties. We may reject, cancel, or remove any ads at any time for any reason. We promptly notify advertisers if their ad is rejected, cancelled, or removed, and we provide an explanation. We also determine the proper placement of ads on our platforms.

We do not endorse advertised products or services

Ads on our site do not represent an endorsement of the products or services advertised, nor do they imply endorsement of the companies behind them. When our editorial team rates or ranks products or services, these assessments are made independently of any financial or advertising relationships.

We will not accept certain types of ads

We reject ads that are factually inaccurate or, in our opinion, in poor taste. Pharmaceutical ads are accepted only for FDA-approved indications. Advertised products must be available in the market. Atlantic Caring does not allow ads for harmful, illegal, or objectionable products or services. Ads must not include fraudulent, deceptive, or offensive content. We refuse ads that misrepresent, ridicule, or attack individuals or groups based on age, color, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or disability. Additionally, ads must not be defamatory, libelous, slanderous, or threatening. We do not accept ads related to alcohol, firearms, ammunition, fireworks, gambling, pornography, tobacco, political campaigns, or those simulating news or emergencies. All ads must clearly identify the advertiser and be clearly labeled as advertisements if they could be confused with editorial content.

We clearly distinguish ads from editorial content

We maintain a strict separation between advertisements and our editorial content. Every ad on Atlantic Caring properties is clearly identified as such. Clicking on an ad directs you to the advertiser’s site or a sponsored resource center hosted on our platform, which is clearly labeled with the sponsor’s name.

Affiliate program

Our health and wellness editors include links to products they believe could benefit our readers. While these products are chosen independently, Atlantic Caring may receive a payment if you make a purchase from the retailer’s site within 24 hours after clicking one of our links.

We clearly distinguish between sponsored and non-sponsored content

Atlantic Caring partners with trusted research organizations, manufacturers, and service providers. Sponsorships offer financial support and help us share current information on health services, medications, and treatments. Sponsored content is subject to our editorial policy and is reviewed by our editorial staff and Medical Affairs team. Native advertising, including links or ads within content, is clearly marked. We may also feature advertising messages, ads, or sponsored posts on our social media channels.

We clearly distinguish content that is part of a Partner program

Occasionally, we work with products, services, or organizations that share our mission. We carefully vet these offerings for quality and only feature those we believe add value for our readers. Atlantic Caring does not medically review partner content and is not responsible for providing the products or services described. Any partner content will be labeled to indicate that it did not go through our standard editorial process and adheres to our Ad and Sponsorship Policy guidelines.
